with Coláiste Bríde
Eddie Lane
Eddie works in Colaiste Bride as a caretaker and is a very popular member of staff recieving a large amount of votes from students in the school. He is a role model for the students but it was agreed by the Face Forward committee that his nomination was not because of his work alone but also as a local neighbour who the girls often greet around the village.
Eddie stands out as a role model particularly for his positivity especially in how has overcomes his disabilities. Eddie is deaf and so he cannot communicate orally, he also has the use of a prosthetic hand. He works hard at his job and is always very friendly when he's out and about in Clondalkin.
Why do you think you were nominated?
I know a lot of people in Clondalkin.
How did it make you feel to be nominated?
I am proud of the students of Coláiste Bríde who worked hard. I miss Sr Augustine RIP. It was very sad.
Who would be your Clondalkin hero? Why?
Jim Gavin. I know Jim Gavin’s parents well. They live near my house.
Could you tell me a bit about yourself/hobbies.
