Joe Williams

 

Joe Williams was nominated for his contribution to the local community through his extensive research and promotion of the local history of Clondalkin. 

 

When we met with Joe he had our photography team enthralled with his local knowledge. Joe shared two historical books he has written with our team and many of the girls were very suprised to discover just how richly their home is steeped in history. 

 

Jo has given historical tours locally and also runs historical meetings where community members can come along to learn and discuss the local history of the area.

 

He was a very humble man but he quickly became a firm favourite of our face forward students. If the teachers in Colaiste Bride could bottle what he brought to our Face Forward shoot I think he'd be a rich man indeed!
