Kenneth put Clondalkin on a global map by winning a silver medal in the Olympics. He works with youth boxing and is also running in local elections currently to represent the Clondalkin community.

Joe Williams has written two books documenting the rich local history of Clondalkin. He has conducted tours of the area to share the stories and history of the area.

Nominated in their masses as individuals for the great work Tidy Towns have done for Clondalkin, so we brought them in as a team.

Nominated for her commitment to charity Mary Kennedy outlined how her Clondalkin parents taught her what community meant.

With many nominations Eddie was recognised for being such a friendly local primarily. He is also nominated as a role model for overcoming many physical difficulties and being such a happy character in Clondalkin and Colaiste Bride.

With tonnes of nominations for this band master vincent dolan was a clear favourite among young people in Clondalkin. He runs the Clondalkin Youth Band. After the photoshoot we can see straight away why band is so popular.

John works for Clondalkin Youth Reach with a great team. He showed up with the distinctive rainbow coloured Youth Reach van for his photoshoot.

Gavin runs the Irish Fairy Door company which has become a great success. But this local company was not nominated for its ingenuity or product. This enterprise gives back to the community in so many different ways. A real inspiration.

Paula is a sixth class teacher who was nominated by parents and students alike for her vision to work with her class to establish Clondalkin as a fairtrade town.

Mick has dedicated 40 years to coaching basketball in Clondalkin. He was shortlisted as Dublins coach of the year and lost out. This time, just before retirement, he made our team.

It's great to see a young person nominated as a hero. Tara was nominated for her dedication to her family. She helped out with an elderly relative and we can see that she is going places. Watch this space.

It seemed like we had nominations for every member of the Round Towers GAA club. We took shots of a small cohort to represnt all areas of he club. The dedication of the coaches, the supporters and the players is phenominal and what that brings out in anyone who is involved in the club is pure Clondalkin pride.
