How do you feel about being chosen as a hero of Clondalkin?
I feel very honoured ,I have always been thoroughly attached to Clondalkin.
Why do you think you picked as a hero?
From the TV *laughs* also from teaching in Coláiste Bríde.
Tell me a bit about yourself
I grew up on St. Brigids Road and attended primary and secondary school in the local area. I got a degree in teaching and taught in Clondalkin for 11 years.
What work have you done in the local community?
My family are involved in the community and my son is a member of Clondalkin rugby club. When I was younger I used to be a part of the athletics team in the area. I also helped with the church cleaning, improving St. Brigid’s well and also very involved in St. Vincent De Paul. I am also an ambassador for organ donors.
Why are you involved in so much charity work?
Because of how I was brought up. My parents were involved in everything and felt it was their social responsibility and I feel I should follow in their footsteps.
Who is your Clondalkin hero?
My parents Pauline and Tom, who built Clondalkin with other families in the area.
